The warranty replacement UPS battery backup - surge protector arrived earlier today. I got the batteries charged and now connected to the computer this UPS battery backup - surge protector is for. This has been successful. The UPS battery backup - surge protector is working as expected. I'm good to go again. I am glad this unit wasn't dead on arrival. Earlier today I dropped off the defective model for it to be returned to the manufacturer. This has been taken care of and I am able to give my attention to other things in my life requiring it.
