E-Mailed Home Depot About The Shed Roof
[ Monday July 11th 2022 at 10:33 am ]

I'm continuing to try and work out a plan to get the shed roof replaced. A Home Depot staff member innocently enough made a typo when doing the data entry for my new shed roof order. What was ordered is metal barn siding. This is the honest mistake I could make myself and I am not upset. Home Depot wants to make it right. The roof isn't water tight at the peak. Storms like what we had three weeks ago where the wind caused it to rain horizontally allowed water to get into the shed.

My first plan was to hire the same roofer a friend has just hired for his roof. They got back to me to say their company doesn't install metal roofs. My second try was using the Refer A Pro through the Home Depot website. This hasn't worked because there are no metal roof installed registered with my local Home Depot store.

I now think my best route forward is having the Pro Desk staff recommend someone. When I've been in the store I see how the Pro Desk staff members have built a relationship with contractors. I am confident they would know a contractor who could do the install. I've just asked the assistant store manager if he'd approach them and make an introduction for me.
