Help From A Friend Cleaning My Window Air Conditioner
[ Friday May 13th 2022 at 3:36 pm ]

One of my friends who is a mechanic came over to help me this afternoon. He has been a big help to me. The window air conditioner I've been using was making a horrible squealing sound. I thought it was at the end of it's service life in 2021. I ordered a new window air conditioner. But the warmth has already affected my ability to sleep at night. I figured it was worth cleaning the window air conditioner to see if it could be made useful again to get me through until mid June when the unit I ordered will arrive. Then if it could be cleaned it would be useful in the shed to get me through this summer because of how oppressive the heat is. I need to get the laser engraver up and running. I need the shed as a work space for making the picture frames for the pieces the laser engraver creates. Amazingly the window air conditioner was packed full of leaves and Manitoba maple keys. About 80 minutes work cleaning it today has made a big difference. We turned it on. There is still some noise in it. My friend is going to bring it over to his home and run a leaf blower on it to finish cleaning it out. I will have it tomorrow. This seems like it will fix one of the most immediate problems in my life right now. The chronic pain I experience seems to go wild when I don't sleep well at night. It is like the pain takes on a life of it's own. The ability to earn money amounts to maintenance and renovations for my home that will better suit my needs. Tentatively this seems very positive.
