The Amazon delivery I've been waiting for arrived! It is the next step towards getting Rocky The Hamster moved into a large hamster cage. Right now is living in a large fish tank. The reason for the change is to give Rocky more enrichment activities. These require a wire cage to clamp onto the edges. I want what is best for Rocky. This will give him the best quality of life. I only want the best for Rocky.
The bigger challenge in setting this up related to my physical disability. The pet store advised me to have at least 4 inches of shavings for my hamster. By providing more volume I am able to space out changing the shavings to every 3rd week. This is a strategy that worked very well with Mike and is definitely worth continuing with Rocky.
