Ordered A Replacement Sump Pump

My sump pump jammed on. It is a submersible style. It appears to have been jammed on for at least 24 hours. This will have given the water sealing O rings the opportunity to heat up. It needs to be replaced. I just ordered a replacement. The cost of a replacement sump pump is much lower than the cost of the water damage that will inevitably occur when it fails as a result of this event. I'm going to either need to setup CCTV or some how connect a light to my sump pump for when it is in use so I am alerted if it becomes stuck on. I will have to think about this when my order is delivered.
