Disability Tax Credit Approved

Today's mail has brought good news. My T2201 Disability Tax Credit Certifcate has been renewed for another 5 years. It was set to expire at the end of 2021. Applying an extension is perfectly acceptable / reasonable / routine. This is to ensure accountability within this particular program to avoid abuse.
I am quite relieved. This accreditation is necessary in order to have an active Registered Disability Savings Plan. This is the safety net for the severely disability by the Federal Government of Canada. For example this will cover my power wheelchair maintenance for when I turn 65 and loose my present maintenance coverage.
