Roof Quote Progress Made

The past few days have been a bit a bit of a roller coaster. We are in the midst of the pandemic. The supply chain for building materials has been very disrupted. Specifically I had a roofing shingle panel selected. But the DYI store is sold out of the roofing screws required to install it. You really need to use the manufacturer roofing screws for installing. Otherwise you risk opening a can of worms worth of problems for the service life of the roof.
I have made more inquiries. I found a DYI store that has a reliable supply chain for metal roofs and the installation screws. I am told the turn around is about 2 weeks. I am in the midst of arranging the quote for a metal roof. I had the funniest thing happen: The metal tab on my carpenters tape measure broke off rendering the tape measure useless. I had to buy a new one while at the store discussing this. All in all I'm happy with the process. I expect the metal roof will arrive around the time when the yard drainage project is coming to an end.
