Delivery Of Microwave Oven
[ Monday June 15th 2020 at 3:54 pm ]

I was smelling natural gas coming from my oven. The igniter was wearing out and not being efficient in igniting natural gas to create heat. I purchased a used microwave oven in fall 2019 to see me through until the part would be available to repair. It has spectacularly failed. There is smoke bellowing from behind the control panel. It needs to be decommissioned for safety.

The new microwave oven I ordered has been delivered. I am very pleased with Canada Post and Amazon Canada. It is obvious both have prioritized this as an essential item during the covid 19 crisis. Presently I am finding other orders to take between 7 and 10 days for delivery. I really have a hard time finding fault with this. I've been through a lot with my hips and knees. It put into perspective what matters and what is non essential.

I decided to purchased Danby Designer 1.1 Cubic Foot Countertop Microwave With Handle (model DMW111KSSDD). I am pleased with this. There are smaller microwave ovens available. What made the decision to buy this model easy is having provision for someone visiting at meal time. If someone is at my home at meal time I often will offer them food.

Building relationships is important to me. The microwave is one of these strategies. I've also got a bedroom setup in my home if I have unexpected over night company. Knowing people means I don't feel isolated when I need to talk to someone about challenges stemming from my physical disability and about my life in general.
