Ordered The Audio Cable For Recording

I've setup my audio equipment. I tried to use this when recording my next video. I've promptly discovered the recording connection on my mixer board requires an amplifier. The irony of using a mixer board but requiring an amplifier to use with my video camera.
Instead I can connect the audio equipment using the headphones jack out to the microphone input on my video camera. I have ordered an appropriate cable to make this connection. This isn't the first time "plan A" didn't work. But nothing wrong with trying something differently.
