Phone Call Concerning Drones

I've just finished a phone call with a local Model Aeronautics Association of Canada club leader. It was an interesting discussion. From talking to the individual I am confident I've picked up many of the finer details about this hobby. He talked a lot about flying model airplanes at his club. This doesn't interest me. I am wanting to focus on drones.
He did have something positive to suggest. He gave me a few good ideas about this hobby in terms of my physical disability. What caught my attention was creating and updates to a drone. Electronics interest me. I am knowledgeable about DC wiring. The long and short of it is that I am figuring out the hobby in practical terms and starting to define how I'll use a drone.
