Chest Freezer Emptied For Disposal

One night last week just before I went to bed I was in my kitchen. I heard a horrid screeching sound. I knew immediately it was a bearing that had worn out. I own (2) 5½ cubic foot chest freezer. The fan bearing has worn out in one of them. I've looked up the part online. It is contained within the chest freezer compressor. To repair this is nearly twice the cost of the original purchase. I will need to think about what now.
I purchased my chest freezers 2 weeks apart. I am going to need to think about what I do for a replacement. On account of my physical disability I'm going to research upright freezers. This will be much easier for me to both reach and see the frozen meals I prepare. This would also give me the ability to buy a large size freezer while limiting the physical floor space it contains.
