Returning Pressure Assist Air Mattress

I purchased a pressure assist air mattress in the hopes of easing my hip pain. The benefit of this is it gently partially deflates every 6 minutes. For someone who is near bed ridden this would prevent pressure sores from forming.
For me the repositioning in theory would improve my quality of sleep. My hips aren't strengthened following being replaced. There is a lot of muscle fatigue pain that keeps disrupting my sleep.
This is very severely off gassing. My eyes are watering and I am having trouble breathing. If I had rested much longer I would have needed to be rushed to hospital from the difficulties breathing it is causing me. I'm returning this. I will need to sort out a different approach to improving my sleep.
