Begin Cleaning Around My Computer
[ Saturday January 4th 2020 at 5:15 pm ]

I've continued the process of deep cleaning and organizing my home. I'm now focusing on the setup of my laptop computer, the cabinet it sits on and the various USB cables and accessories I use with my computer. It is going to take me a bit to get this situated in a way that is optimized. But I have a plan.

I've been keeping the tools and components of my projects beside my computer. This is because I use a lift chair to sit on when working on my computer. It has lots of cushioning and support for my hips. The lift chair is able to be repositioned depending on the needs of my knee joints at any given moment. The upshot of this is that I need to implement a system for storing the components of my projects that are in process.

Beyond the next few months my plan is to begin writing books. I am going to be storing my tools on various shelves by groups. I can't do both. My focus will be shifting to self employment while I work towards more aggressive treatment for my knee joints. I don't qualify for the public funded personal support worker program. I need to begin making money to hire in home help. This is my next strategic move as I manage the needs of my physical disability.

A year ago I purchased a laser engraver. I haven't been able to use it. It needs to be setup by my window and vented outside. The smoke detectors in my home are very sensitive. It was setting them off. Besides writing books one of my next self employment goals is to start etching my nature photos onto wood and sell them as art. I think this is viable for me to pursue.

In short I am thinking about my life goals. I've been evaluating what I am able to reasonably do. I have been thinking a lot about what my needs are. I am trying my best to help myself for what I have control over.
