I've now started up my humidifier for the winter months. Otherwise the use of my natural gas furnace dries out my skin and I get real itchy. Last winter the hardware store employee suggested I buy a humidistat and work out the % that makes me feel comfortable. It was a very worth while purchase. I selected one with a magnet so it was no effort involved to install it. If your money is tight buying a model online (such as with eBay) and waiting a few weeks for delivery will allow you to avoid the overhead expenses retails stores need to charge in order to stay in business.
