Completed And Delivered Winter Housing Subsidy Offered By The County
[ Wednesday October 23rd 2019 at 12:40 pm ]

A few days ago the County sent me an application for the winter housing subsidy. This is offered to prevent homelessness during the winter months. It is only income tested and not asset tested. The disability pensions I receive barely cover my cost of housing and have allowed me to be eligible for this since it's inception.

The application process is very thorough. Proof of housing expenses and income are required. I've spent about $10,000 in urgent household maintenance during 2019. I've had to purchase a new natural gas furnace, hot water tank and refrigerator. I also had to repair my natural gas oven. I'm including copies of the invoices as part of my current housing expenses. I am also including a copy of my current ledger for my self employment aspiration. This is a deficient due to purchasing the remaining equipment I require.

I used inheritance income to pay for this things. It has enabled me to zero out my disability pension income. This maximizes my opportunity of being approved. As usual the need for this far outweighs the available funds.
