Temporary Plug To Basement Dry Rot

During the past 3 winters the drain to my shower has been freezing. Why this started happening compared to the previous 13 years was initially a mystery. It became obvious during the past winter. Snow would not stay on the ground against the outside wall where the shower is. I discovered a pass throw for the original cistern this house had before city water was available. I've just filled this with expanding foam insulation. This plugs the hole. This gives me time to work out the best long term solution. I can focus on completed my current projects before starting something else.
