Ordered Upgraded Physiotherapy Ultrasound Unit
[ Friday July 19th 2019 at 7:02 am ]

At the end of 2009 I purchased a basic physiotherapy ultrasound unit. The reason behind this is my lack of proper physiotherapy coverage. At the time three physiotherapy clinic appointments were the same cost as this. Having this equipment in my own gives me the opportunity to treat the type of pain ultrasound is effective for when it happens. This includes being a strategy for managing pain induced broken sleep.

When I was to the emergency department of my local hospital on July 12th 2019 the use of ultrasound was one of the strategies suggested. Due to cut backs in Ontario's socialized health care I don't have the coverage needed for physiotherapy ultrasound. Knowing that this works I've now researched and ordered a physiotherapy clinic caliper ultrasound machine. I've found a chart physiotherapists use to determine the appropriate dose of physiotherapy. I think this is a good option. I am especially pleased since this is an alternative to using even more pain medication.

The new unit I've purchased is equal to 7 physiotherapy clinic appointments. With the journey of managing my physical disability ahead of me I will be saving money many times over. It is wonderful to be able to do something I have control over in order to help myself.
