My Knee Popped While Doing My Knee Replacement Physiotherapy

Something unusual happened while I was using the warm water therapy pool. I was doing the motion of riding an exercise bike with a 16 inch radius to help rehabilitate my right artificial knee joint. As I reached the 11 o'clock position there was a pop. It was where the patella tendon joins onto the tibia. Except it wasn't horrifically painful.
I know from the past 3 months of stretching and lengthening my tendons and ligaments that this really hurts. When it popped this didn't. Instead the stiffness of surgery was 100% gone for a few minutes. It felt the same as what I would expect graduation from knee replacement surgery physiotherapy would feel like.
I have another 10 degrees range of motion back within my right knee joint. What I think has happened to my knee joint is a pocket of fluid popped. This does happen with knee replacement surgery when there has been a lot of swelling during the recovery. Since I don't have the symptoms of a blood clot I think this is positive momentum. I have contacted my surgeons office to be sure. If this isn't an injury then I am a solid step forward in the recovery from my right knee joint being replaced.
