Pus Coming From My Incision

My incision from the surgery I had on April 2nd hasn't fully closed yet. There is some yellow pus on the incision. I didn't know what to make of it. I have come to my local hospital emergency department to ask for help. They did blood work on me. I don't have an infection. I really wish the emergency department doctor would not just use the word "normal" to describe this. This leaves me not knowing when I should be concerned and asking for help. But at least my new artificial hip is safe inside me and I don't need to be concerned about it.
