Ordered A Replacement SSD Drive For My Computer

This morning the SSD drive containing the operating system on my laptop computer died. My documents, spreadsheets, videos and photos are all fine. They were stored on a second drive. As well I also have a NAS device that is setup to automatically backup my computer each day. With how much I rely on the computer I planned ahead for when a drive would fail.
When I replaced the drive a few years ago I had planned on an operating system drive and a data drive. I've changed my opinion. I want to use RAID1 (software). This provides redundancy. When a drive fails the computer remains operable. It allows time to purchase a new drive, get it installed and for the RAID1 to be cloned. I have ordered a drive with the same storage as my existing data drive. It should be delivered on Monday. Then I'll get it setup and back to normal by mid week.
