I'm really pleased. I've just received an e-mail that my weather station signal booster has shipped. It will be delivered tomorrow. I should have this in service and commissioned on Saturday. This will have my weather station setup complete until spring and I'll be able to put my focus on other things.
I do have a modification to complete when my weather station sensor arrives. It is designed to run on pairs of AA batteries. It isn't practical to think I am able to monitor and change the batteries as necessary. I don't have the stability in life to monitor this. The needs of my physical disability trump this.
I've gone to a great deal of effort to get my weather station setup. Friends have graciously helped me where I couldn't complete specific steps myself due to my physical disability. I want to do a good job. The way my house is build is preventing the weather station sensor signal from being consisitently received. Taking the step to add a signal booster will bring the consistenty I'm in pursuit of.
When it arrives I will be doing a minor electrical soldering job. I am going to power my signal booster with a DC power supply. I need to solder leads into the positive and negative battery terminals. The other end of the leads is the standard 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC female lead. The power supply I selected has shipped with the signal booster. This will be plugged into a UPS battery backup - surge protector.
