Playing Water Basketball With An 8 Year Old Boy

This evening I played basketball in the swimming pool with an 8 year old boy as I did my physiotherapy stretching. It just amazes me how accepting children are of me. They children who use the facility have seen me using my power wheelchair and the great difficulties I experience when trying to walk to the pool deck stairs. There has many situations during the past decade where adults could learn from children. These children have shown the ability to understand my power wheelchair as a tool and not my identity.
