Follow Up Appointment For My Microscopic Colitis

I just had the follow up appointment with the doctor that treated my microscopic colitis. Since I asked a different question from my previous appointment he better defined the symptoms of microscopic colitis. From what the doctor is describing the treatment has worked. The diarrhea I've had recently is likely a side effect of using magnesium and the food I am eating. Microscopic colitis is very explosive diarrhea (like a cannon going off) and extremely watery. This isn't what is happening now. I am relieved about this.
The other thing I asked about is how frequently I should be undergoing a colonoscopy. His response is every 5 years with a parent having colon cancer. I didn't know what the answer was. I am glad to ask a doctor that would know. I love life. I am not keen to have cancer lead to my death. Overall this appointment went much better than how I expected.
