Firming Up My Plans For My Knee Surgery

I have more big news to share.
My surgeon committed to my right knee replacement surgery being a priority. He hasn't let me down. My pre surgery screening is on Friday April 10th 2026. My operation will be on April 24th 2026.
I have some logistical things to sort through for the recovery. I have a good start. To be honest it hasn't been smooth flowing. However there is still time to get everything situated that must happen.
I was suppose to have an appointment this morning with the aquatic center to get approved for their disability facility rates to use the warm water therapy pool once my incision closes. I had 2½ hours of sleep last night. I badly needed to be left alone. This was well received. After my pre surgery screening appointment happens and my body has recovered from the travel I will address this. I am starting to look forward to using the pool. My backpack has shipped and is on the way to my home. This is what I'll use for going to and from the pool. I should have use for this beyond recovering from surgery.
There is a piece of physiotherapy equipment I am making to help my knee continue to recover for the initial 3 weeks and on the days when I don't go to the pool. It is very basic. I have some resistance bands ordered. This will keep challenging my knee to heal and guide my knee to move in a way that won't undo the operation. I love using my hands.
There is a bit more meal preparation I hope to get done for the recovery.
I am starting to look forward to this operation. I would really like a little hamster to be with me while I do my stretches at home. I am going to try to arrange this and see if my neighbour would care for him while I am in the hospital.
