My April 2nd 2025 Incision Just Burst Open Again
[ Sunday December 28th 2025 at 8:03 pm ]

I honestly can't believe it. The fluid that started draining after my left artificial hip was replaced on April 2nd 2025 is back. A small area of the incision just tore open and fluid started draining again. This had finally started slowing down 2 weeks before my right artificial hip was replaced on November 26th 2025. Now it is back. I really wish this wasn't happening.

I had no choice but to have my left artificial hip replaced. It was attacking me several times a day. The physical punishment couldn't continue. The pain my original artificial hip created was exhausting. This fluid draining getting a "second lease on life" is no good. It is physically punishing in a different way. This isn't to mention when there is a lot of fluid waiting to drain or be reabsorbed I have trouble making the muscles around my new artificial hip move.

I will be having a 6 week post surgery check up in early January 2026. During this I will need to talk over with my surgeon what we do now. To be clear the artificial hip that was put into my body on April 2nd 2025 is fine. The problem is that a lot of scar tissue remained following the previous 6 operations on my left hip. My surgeon needed to break down the scar tissue. Otherwise my April 2nd 2025 incision would not have closed. When the scar tissue was broke down during the surgery healthy skin was left to heal. It is obviously have a very hard time healing. I really hope we can get on top of the fluid draining soon.
