Something really special happened just happened for me while I was shopping at Staples. I am presently feeling very encouraged and loved.
About 5 weeks ago I damn near got stuck in the tub. Both of my knees had temporarily stopped working. I was only just able to get myself out because of my upper body strength. Otherwise I would have needed to call an ambulance for assistance.
I have considered how I would approach becoming stuck in the tub. I have the app from my phone provider installed on my tablet and cell phone. My plan is to use this app in conjunction with my home Wi-Fi to call for an ambulance to assist me.
However my plan has developed a fatal weakness. About two months I had to replace my computer network router. As a result the Wi-Fi signal in the bathroom with my tub is no longer suitable for this purpose. There are options to extend a Wi-Fi signal. During renovations to my home I included Ethernet in the walls. I have the option to plug an Ethernet cable into a Wi-Fi access point device. This will be the same as the router that connects directly to my Internet cable modem.
While shopping at my local Staples I explained to the associate why I was buying the Wi-Fi access point, the model of the D-Link router I purchased 2 months ago and details of my home computer network. When I went to pay the associate who helped me in the store isle appeared again and told the cashier to give me $10 off. This made me feel cared about. The past few months have been really challenging courtesy of my damn artificial hips and knees that are nearly worn out. I need my home Wi-Fi signal to be reliable for my plan to get help work with the very real risk of me becoming stuck in the tub.
I regularly have things happen that really encourage me. This has given me fresh hope with how hard managing my physical disability has become this year. If I am having trouble with my hips or knees during the next few weeks I will be able to think about this moment and not feel disheartened. These special things happen to me frequently enough that I don't loose the hope I have for life.
