Oven Natural Gas Shut Off Valve Is Changed

About a week ago I was questioning if I had a natural gas leak with my cooking range. It turned out this wasn't the case. The pain I exercise causes me to sweat profusely. It was my severe sweat that tricked me. I purchased a natural gas sniffer. When I had been sweating due to pain I used the sniffer on the cooking range for my peace of mind. The screen on the sniffer showed no leak.
When I turned off the natural gas connection to my cooking range the plastic handle cracked. A licensed natural gas fitter has just replaced the shut off valve. The replacement valve has a metal handle. I won't have a recurrance. I am glad this is taken care of.
