Tankless Water Heater Didn’t Work Out

My tankless water heater hasn't worked out. It isn't making the cold water passing through it hot enough. We are in the midst of a Canadian winter. The water coming into my home is barely above freezing. It is now obvious I would need a top of the line tankless water heater if I was to have suitable warm water for my needs.
I don't know what I will replace this with. What appealed to me about the tankless water heater is that it wouldn't burst. I've had 3 traditional water heaters burst since 2009. I want to research what my options are going forward that offers me assurance of avoiding a future burst.
I rely on hot water as a component for my pain control. The past few weeks have been hard for me. My pain has been all but out of control. However the nuisance of a delay is worth it in the long run provided I am able to find a suitable water heater that is unlikely to burst. I am focused on the long term / big picture instead of the day to day life in making this decision.
