Brief Follow Up To The Surgeon Who Replaced My Hip Joints

I've sent a short message to the surgeon's office. During the appointment with my family doctor I was asked to consider stem cell transplant as treatment for my knee joints. I am doubtful of this being successful due to the deteriorated state of my knee joints. I have a history of various treatment options not working because of being offered too late. My gut instinct is knee stem cell transplants fall into this category. But I am not a specialist. If the surgeon thought this is something I should be pursuing I am willing to listen and have a discussion concerning this.
I received a prompt reply to this message. The surgeon reviewed the letter I sent him on December 5th 2018. This letter detailed the various unsuccessful attempts to restore my knee joints. I concluded the letter with a request to be assessed for knee replacement surgery. The surgeon is open to this and is wanting to arrange an appointment with me for this purpose. I will need to think past the Christmas holiday and work out when this will be logistically feasible for myself and the transportation company that brings me to my appointments.
