Upstairs And Basement Smoke Detectors Changed

A friend has popped by to see me for a few minutes. I needed help changing the upstairs and basement smoke detectors. I purchased the replacement models made by the same manufacturer. The wiring harness is the same. It is the same gauge of wire. Changing the smoke detectors was as straight forward as unplugging and plugging in a lamp. I am glad this step has been completed.
For those living with similar challenges as myself or chronic illness I want to share 3 important details of my purchase. I purchased:
- a combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector
- 10 year model
- built in rechargeable lithium battery designed to last the 10 year service life of the unit
This is something I won't need help with for quite a while. This means planning ahead. It does require the cash flow to allow for the purchase up front (equal to setting aside $1 a month for each unit my dwelling requires). Ultimately this means when I ask for help it is for tasks I truly need help him. I'm managing my physical needs in doing what I have control over.
