Purchased A Vacuum Robot

I've been thinking really hard about how to help myself, what I have control over and external help that is available for hire. Even with the inheritance I'm receiving my finances are strained. Any steps I am able to take to help myself and setup home automation will be money not spent hiring someone.
I spent about 6 hours today researching robot vacuums. I've decided to buy one. I am no longer able to sweep the floor each day. It is way beyond my physical limits. The money I spend on a robot vacuum will lead to thousands of dollars in savings.
For those considering this I want to outline my thought processs I employed in what model to purchase. I've ordered my robot vacuum online. I will update my blog after it is delivered and I've begun using it.

Deciding On A Budget
You need to be realistic in how much money you are able to spend on this and the functionality it needs to have. If you are like myself and require a high end model (such as with controls on your phone or tablet) you would be best to save up for a few more months before making a purchase instead of regretting it over the life of the robot. I was able to save about $200CAD by purchasing a display model. -
Reading Reviews
I read through numerous reviews to see both the pros and cons people have experienced. While reading these I thought through how objective the review is. I find there to be a difference between a poor customer service and the actual functionality of a robot vacuum. I also want to have a reasonable expectation of the product. I find 1 and 2 star reviews to be just as helpful as people singing the praises of the product or service being reviewed. -
Narrowing Down The Possibilies To 3
Initially the robot vacuums I was considering grew to a list of 10. After reading up on several models and what they are capable of it was easy to eliminate some of robot vacuums I was considerating. -
Watching A Video For Each Model
With the cost of a robot vacuum being more than a small kitchen appliance and how intrigral to my need in life I wanted to see videos of the robot vacuums in action. I wasn't looking for videos produced by the manufacturer. I wanted to see the average Joe using their robot vacuum in "real world" application. I needed to see videos that were authentic. After watching videos I was becoming confident in the model I wanted to purchase. -
Reflect On Living Space The Robot Vacuum Will Be Cleaning
My final step was looking for patterns between reviews and videos I watched so I knew I was purchasing the right robot vacuum that would meet my needs. I was especially paying attention to the types of flooring.
