Follow Up Discharge Phone Appointment With Nursing

One of the nurses from the orthopedic team called me to check that I have not had complications from surgery in the days that have followed arriving home. The truth is that I know most of what she wanted to review with me on account of my other 7 adult hip surgeries. The most valuable part of this phone call was spent reviewing the symptoms of a knee replacement surgery blood clot.
I am genuinely glad this safety net exists. However there are only so many times you can tell me or have me go through something before I have committed it memory. But as my surgeon said to me: They only know one recipe and he asked me to tolerate it.
