A Phone Call From My Family Doctor

I've just arrived home from grocery shopping. I have a phone message from my family doctor. He has attended a medical seminar and has a new idea for my treatment. He has asked that I arrange a time with his administrative assistant for a phone call with him.
In the phone message my family doctor used 'us' referring to the treatment I am receiving. It comforts me to know that he is on the journey with me.
