Seroma Fluid Drained By My Local Hospital
[ Friday October 10th 2025 at 1:45 pm ]

I just finished my hip aspiration appointment at my local hospital. Fluid from the seroma that formed following my left artificial hip revision surgery was drained. I am feeling pretty frustrated. This is because the radiologist told me the type of fluid he removed has been in my new left artificial hip since the surgery. It is a type of seroma fluid that the immune system is not able to process. It requires the intervention that occurred today. I have been saying for months that there was a problem with the seroma. It has taken too long for the orthopaedic world to take me serious. I am glad this fluid is out of my body. I really hope this is the end of my incision opening and draining. The effect of my incision opening and draining has on me is the same draining experience that has happened following each of my adult hip surgeries. I want my strength back to and to have available to me for my right artificial hip to be replaced.
