The CPU Cooling Fan I Ordered Isn't Correct

I've just had a really bad discovery. I took the cover off my computer to change the CPU cooling fan. What was listed as the CPU cooling fan when I ordered it isn't correct. With the cover off I now have access to the HP part number label. I found the matching fan for sale and ordered it. It should arrive within 2 weeks.
The copper heat sync in this particular computer is very large. It is about the size of a 6 inch ruler. Since I have the cover off I will try to use one of my desk fans to keep the computer cool. This won't stop the boot alert. I will see if I am able to over ride this. I rely on this computer for video editing. I am hoping that I will still be able to use it this way.
