My Dentist Office Is Being Renovated For Accessibility
[ Thursday June 15th 2017 at 9:23 am ]

Last night as I drove myself to the gym using my power wheelchair I noticed the dental office who cares for my teeth is under renovations. I e-mailed them when I arrived home to ask if there are any special instructions I need. The dental practice generously gives back to the community. They have numerous patients with mobility devices who receive government funded dental care.

I've just spoke with the dental office. They are grateful that I asked. Having checked with the contractor there is going to be a major disruption to the designated accessible route during the summer months. We've changed my dental cleaning to tomorrow.

I am very excited about this renovation. The dental office is being retrofitted for accessibility. I couldn't ask for more. It is going to make my life easier with push buttons and proper space to enter and exit the building. This is something I am truly grateful for. The pain medication I use for my knee and hip joints doesn't let me properly feel if a tooth is hurting. I rely on someone laying their eyes on my teeth to stay ahead of cavities.
