Unexpected Kindness: An Early Present

Someone surprised me before sleeping. One of my friends has ordered me a 1TB SSD drive. It is an early birthday present.
Now for the back story:
I've been using a single board computer for sending / receiving my e-mails for several years. It is Linux based. I have this very highly configured. I have about 10 folders (such as Banking, Health, Shopping, Social Media and Utility Bills). Within each of these I have sub folders for the various providers. There are numerous e-mail filters I have setup. The upshot is when I receive an e-mail it is sorting and I know where I look if I am feeling the effects of my legs or if I have more time.
I've outgrown the computer processing abilities of the single board computer I've been using. In part I am not using IMAP. The e-mails are stored on the computer. This means the computer keeps needing to pause while I am typing to stay caught up.
A few days ago I purchased a refurbished computer. It was very reasonably priced. I don't need anything fancy. With how highly configured it is I can't easily move this to Windows. I like my current system.
It comes with 1 drive. The specs on the computer aren't clear. There may or may not be room for a second drive on the inside. I have also ordered a USB3.0 external drive adapter. This has a data transfer rate of 6GB / second. If the computer can't physically have 2 drives inside this will work.
My plan is for the 1 TB SSD to go on the inside. The 500 GB HDD will be for backups. I am very familiar with Linux. I will setup an automated job to dump my e-mail data files to the HDD once a day for a backup.
Besides my own e-mails the ultimate plan with this is for the laser engraver: It will handle returns and items that are damaged in transit.
I still need to clean around my computer area before focusing on the laser engraver. I am trying. I am having a rough day today with my physical disability. I am grateful for the small victories.
