My Right Knee Cap Partially Dislocated

My right knee joint just partially dislocated. I am up in pain. It has been the same as the last 2 instances: I was repositioning my right leg after hip stiffness woke me up. The knee cap didn't completely leave my knee joint this time. Instead it went to the edge and then popped back in. I don't know how much long this can go on.
