Wood Picked Up For Laser Engraver Vent Hood

I've been to Home Depot. I've purchased 2" x 2" to make a vent hood frame. I had a Home Depot building materials associate cut the wood in half using the store chop saw. I've asked someone in the community if they would cut the wood to size using 45 degree angles. This increases surface area for the corners. With the wood being so narrow I thought this was the best way to secure it. This also gives me a chance to start playing with 45 degree angles and the use of angle clamps. This is a lead up to making picture frames. It seems the plan will come together.
