Requested My Heating Equal Billing Plan Be Increased To $90 A Month

The company I use for my natural gas connection merged with another natural gas business. They are in the midst of migrating into one system for all their customers. As part of the merger the monthly equal billing payment plan was reduced to 11 months for this particular year. A few weeks ago I checked what my new equal billing rate would be. It showed $105. Now this has dropped down to $72. $105 seems unnaturally high. Historically $72 seems unnaturally low. If the equal billing rate is too low I will have a lump sum payment at the end of the equal billing payment plan year. I've approached customer service with a case that this should be increased to $90. The equal billing plan is re-assessed twice during the winter months. I am wanting to start where what I am paying is reasonable. I will see how customer service responds. Equally I don't want to end up in arrears.
