Ordered A New Microwave Oven And Single Serving Rice Cooker

My rice cooker has just died. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. But to be honest a bit disappointed. I ordered a single serving rice cooker in September 2019. I did consider online reviews before making the purchase. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong. The reviews repeatedly warned of a short service life. It only came with a 60 day warranty. I will need to be mindful of this in the future.
I have ordered Aroma Mi 3-Cup Cooked or 1½ Cup Uncooked Digital Cool Touch Mini Rice Cooker for the replacement. This uses a solid state relay triggering the cooking cycles. From past experience (including smart switches and work I've done with relays) I believe this is a model I'll be able to count on during the coming few years.
Believe it or not my microwave oven also wore out this week. I found a replacement I've included with this order: Danby Designer 1.1 Cubic Foot Countertop Microwave With Handle (model DMW111KSSDD). It is conceivable this model is capable of warming meals for when company is visiting me. I like the idea of the 1,000 watt power rating. I think this is powerful enough to warm a meal for myself before severe pain overtakes my hips and knees. However I don't think it is powerful to the extreme that warming up food will destroy the nutritional value.
