Canada Post Courtesy Call About The Present For My Aunt

Canada Post just made a quick courtesy call to me. Last week I sewed a pair of hanging garden bags for my aunt. It is a special present for her. She was gardening, tripped on a tomato cage and broke her wrist. I wanted her to still be able to grow her tomatoes or use the hanging garden bags for a flower display while she drinks afternoon tea on her porch.
I used the Canada Post web site to find out how much postage I owed. I used postage stamps I had here at my home for mailing this. This was instead of going to the postal counter and paying for shipping. I wasn't even sure what is open now because of business closures here in Ontario Canada due to Covid19.
The employee was really touched by my letter to Canada Post. I wished them well doing their job and used painters tape to secure it to my parcel. The employee also wanted to let me know the parcel is en route to the Canada Post sorting center in the Greater Toronto Ontario area and will be delivered to my aunt next week! The extra personal touch with this courtesy call meant a whole lot to me. I love my aunt. I'm glad she will receive her present soon.
