Reached Out To The Surgeon Who Replaced My Hip Joints

I've reached out to the surgeon who replaced both of my hip joints with a letter. The knee surgeon he referred me onto presented himself as "I'm THE expert; you listen to me". He wasn't interested in the patterns I experienced during my ~900 hours of physiotherapy between 2015 and 2018. This knee surgeon recommending I resume more of the same physiotherapy I already did amounts to my definition of insanity --- expecting a different result from the same activity.
In the letter I wrote I've asked if I am able to be admitted to a physiotherapy rehab hospital for 2 to 3 weeks. The only possible way this might work is if someone is watching me 24 / 7 and working much more closely with me than what is possible by attending a physiotherapy clinic. I am not prepared to resume doing 90 minutes of exercise just to spend the following 2 days in bed.
