Ordered The Screens And Rotary Encoder For My Spot Welder Modification

I am working towards getting the guinea pig to hamster cage modification under way. The spot welder I have purchased used is really powerful. I am going to need a timing circuit. This is to stop me causing the metal rods used to make the cage from becoming a liquid and causing holes that need repaired. This is perfect for an Arduino project. I have just ordered the electronic components to set the millisecond timer. I have found code examples of a counter that is set by a rotary encoder knob, a momentary switch that will trigger the spot welder to turn on using a foot peddle and an OLED screen to display the millisecond timer and cool down duty cycle my spot welder requires. I feel positive about this. A friend and I have talked this through. It is going to be really helpful for this project since I only welding metal rod and not larger pieces of steel. The metal rods will heat up and cause the surface to become a liquid. The use of a timing circuit takes the guess work out of it.
