Changed The Shavings For Gary The Hamster

I just changed half of Gary The Hamster's shavings. I try to change half on one day and the remainder about 3 days later. Hamsters predominately use their sense of smell. Their eye sight isn't good. I really badly stressed Rocky The Hamster when I changed all of his shavings at once. When I removed all the shavings Rocky went into the corner and just froze. It was obvious he was obvious he was overwhelmed. When this happened I held Rocky for a few minutes to comfort him. Then when he was ready to start moving again I finished changing his shavings. Ever since this I only do half at a time. I don't want to stress my little fuzz ball.
