Invited To Play Cards

I am at my home having a quiet day. I've been resting and trying to get some of my strength back from this surgery. A friend and his dad have just popped by the check on me. We talked for about 10 minutes. The dad has invited me to play cards with him this summer. I have something to look forward to during my recovery. The recovery from this latest surgery has been so much more physically demanding than my hip replacements in 2013 and 2015. I am glad there will be times when I can get away from the recovery and just be living life. There is no point to having my artificial hip replaced for the recovery this involves if I am not able to be living my life.
