Pre Surgery Shower With Chlorhexidine Gluconate

When I had my pre surgery screening appointment I was given an anti bacterial soap. It is called chlorhexidine gluconate. This is one layer of protection to avoid a bacterial infection that is a result of surgery. I have just finished my evening shower with this. I have to repeat this in the morning before I report to hospital. It wasn't easy washing myself with this. It was logistically challenging. But I have got through it. Now that I have taken this step I am starting to feel ready to have my operation.
