Checked Into Hotel For The 2 Days Before Surgery

The person who drove me to my pain management appointment has just dropped me off at the hotel where I am staying during the two days before my surgery. The driver came in to the front desk and waited with me until I was registered.
The hotel is peaceful and has a well conceived layout. I have been watching videos about the hotel industry. Even though I have only been here for a few minutes I see evidence of the hotel staff being very well trained and realize their reputation matters. As I've gone through the facility to my room the staff have graciously and willingly assisted me as I use my power wheelchair for mobility.
It is a shame I am only going to be here for 2 days. I like it here. This isn't to mention how a change is as good as a break. It is nice having a break from being inside my home. The practical part in all this is saving my body from pain caused by travel.
When I am back home I am going to do my best to go down to the water to a eat a meal a few times each week. I won't be living with the damn artificial hip that was replaced attacking me. This was draining energy out of me faster than I could recover. I love being down at the waterfront trails. If anything is bothering me when I am down there I am able to be objective about it by the time I arrive home.
