Received My Patient Chart Notes To Talk With My Pain Management Doctor About What Now

The referral my family doctor prepared for my knees to be assessed was refused. I have just received a copy of this referral my family doctor wrote. As I look at this it is no wonder the surgeon refused the referral. Her description of my knees was a single paragraph. This was followed by my medical history summary from 2020. This seriously misrepresents what is wrong with my knees, the impact to me, that the situation continues to evolve and the ever increasing urgency to get to the root problem. I have asked for a copy of this to talk over with my pain management doctor "what now". It is obvious I am going to need to make a complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons against my family doctor. The family doctor I have is not engaged in my life or doing her part in advocating for me. I am so thankful I have friends to support me through this. I still feel cared and loved. This is part of what helps me have the courage to keep pressing forward in life and pushing the best life that is possible for me.
