October 2016

Overall October 2016 has been a very difficult month. The appointment I had with
my surgeon on September 19th 2016 is still bothering me. I genuinely thought my surgeon
knew me better. If he had been willing to listen to me I could have received helpful

November 2016

The month of November 2016 has been a month of new beginnings of sorts. On November
10th 2016 I had my intake appointment for a physiotherapist taking responibility for
the oversight of my physiotherapy. My physiotherapist originally worked in a hospital

December 2016

As December comes to an end I am uncertain of how my treatment will progress. Much
of December 2016 has been very difficult. On December 20th 2016 I experienced another
setback in both of my knee joints. An exercise that should have helped me has severly

January 2017

For me the new year started with medical appointments with my family doctor and physiotherapist.
As has been the case with me throughout the past decade their opinions are in contrast
with each other. My physiotherapist was wanting to discharge me with an instruction

February 2017

February 2017 started with the inevitable. I was discharged from the physiotherapy
clinic I began receiving coaching from in November 2016. The physiotherapist sent
an instruction to my family doctor to consider other treatments. Not only did my

March 2017

March 2017 has turned into the beginning of recalibrating my life. After being discharged
from physiotherapy with unsuccessful treatment last month I've thought through the
systems necessary to manage my life and maximize my independance. I've begun working

April 2017

April 2017 has been a roller coaster of rewards and challenges. Quite honestly this
reflects my treatment since 2006. There have been no lack of rewarding and special
moments in the midst of the challenges I face because of my physical disability and

May 2017

I've continued to make good progress with my youTube channel. I received a quality
video camera and tripod with special funding through my disability pension. The video
camera is able to be powered through a USB charging port. With my knowledge of electricity

June 2017

The month of June 2017 has been one of two extremes. There has continued to be extremely
rewarding moments. This has been consistent throughout my medical treatment over
the past 12 years. These are intertwined with the extreme challenges of pain, broken

July 2017

It never ceases to amaze me the amount of really positive things happening in my life
in the midst of the challenging hip and knee treatment I am enduring. This month
has been no exception. I've had the pleasure of being able to share many of the rewarding

The entire month of August has been very challenging. However as usual there have
been no lack of rewarding moments mixed in with the severe pain I experience. One
of the biggest challenges I've experienced this month is that my artificial hip joints

The month of September has had the common thread of my life: I continue to experience
very rewarding moments in the midst of the challenges which come with my physical
disability and especially the chronic pain. My chronic pain was out of control throughout

Overall the month of October 2017 has been about new beginnings for me. As month
31 passed since my second hip replacement surgery without making a recovery I've needed
to switch my focus to address what is necessary to manage my physical needs and provide

November 2017 hasn't been easy for me. I need to be honest and candid in this monthly
update. While I am sitting her writing I am also thinking. I am having some very
serious challenges with my pain control. When this happens it spills over into virtually
